Welcome to Cornerstone, a place where Play is the Work of Children! Cornerstone School has been open since 1996. We serve about 170 children, ages 6 weeks to 12 years, who participate in our full time preschool and before and after school care programs. Children at Cornerstone are taught based on the Holy Bible with a nondenominational emphasis. Teachers use the A Beka curriculum, which is a Christian-based reading, phonics, math and Bible program as well as Group's Hands-on and Creative Curriculums, and other supplemental materials. Children are also exposed to art, music, computers and gym time.
We provide an environment that is safe, comfortable and enriching socially, emotionally, academically and spiritually. This is not just a job for our teachers, it really is a passion for them.
Cornerstone provides an educational, full time, experience with the convenience of childcare hours for the families.
Cornerstone's Early Education & Youth Center recently won first place in the Governor’s Awards for Excellence in Early Care and Education which recognizes excellence among Delaware’s child care providers and centers.
Summer Camp at Cornerstone!
This full day, full week program is for Children going into First through Sixth Grade that runs from June through August. Our daily activities include outside play, organized games, rest/reading time, Bible, arts and crafts. Each week we go on off site field trip, have water play, and help our community. Breakfast, lunch and snack are provided daily.
We host tours daily between 9:00 A.M. - 10:30A.M., Monday - Thursday.
